skeeter1980 Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 The weather here in Delaware, finally warmed up.Last week was in the 50's this week in the 60's and 70's.Our ponds aren't deep. Most are 6' at their deepest.I'm starting out with water temps in the 50's,warming up to about 56 middady.Throwing senkos, lipless cranks, spinner baits, swim jigs, jerkbaits, swim baits. My son did lose a hawg on Saturday,at the boat,on a swim bait. But other than that one,and a few small bass,I can't locate any pre spawn bass. The ponds are stain to muddy, from the recent rains. This week instead of pond hopping,i'm sticking with one pond, and just fishing it,i'll see what happens.I just got back into bass fishing last summer, bfrom being away from it since the 80's.I spent the winter watching videos of big fish being caught from our local ponds, this time of year.I bought all new rods and lures, and was really pumped.Anyone have any suggestions.I am fishing from a bass boat.
