BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted April 9, 2014 BassResource.com Administrator Posted April 9, 2014 BassResource.com to Host Raffles at AnnualRoadTrip Fishing Event, Tackle the Storm Foundation toReceive Proceeds Win a ½-day fishing trip with bass pro Charlie Ingram April 4, 2014 – The 9th annual BassResource.com RoadTrip will take place on Wilson Lake located in northwest Alabama April 30-May 5. The RoadTrip is open to members of BassResource’s forums. On top of spending four full days of fishing this tremendous smallmouth fishery, the trip is so much more than catching bass. It is about meeting people who share a common bond, learning how to become better anglers and supporting Tackle the Storm Foundation with proceeds from two raffles. The first raffle, scheduled for Wednesday, April 30, is a ½-day fishing trip with bass angler and TUF-Line pro staffer Charlie Ingram. One lucky RoadTrip attendee who participates in the raffle will get to fish with Ingram the following afternoon on Lake Wilson. Ingram, fishing legend and co-host of the Outdoor Channel's Fishing University, has posted four B.A.S.S. wins, two FLW championships, and has fished in eight BASSMASTER Classics. In the history of B.A.S.S., only 11 pros have posted back-to-back victories --Bill Dance, Roland Martin, Charlie Ingram, John Powell, Gary Klein, Jim Bitter, Mike McClelland, Denny Brauer, Shaw Grigsby, Dean Rojas and Davy Hite. And, one of the highlights of his fishing career came when he was asked to take both Presidents George Bush- Jr. & Sr. out fishing. Following the fishing trip, Ingram will present a 30-minute seminar on TUF-Line’s new Tournament 8 braid fishing line as well as discuss HeviCore and SuperCast lines. “We want to thank Charlie Ingram and TUF-Line for taking a leading role in supporting the 2014 RoadTrip and Tackle the Storm Foundation,” said Glenn May, BassResource.com founder and owner. “Allowing us to raffle off a fishing trip with a fishing legend at our event is really special and one RoadTrip attendee will have the experience of a lifetime.” The second raffle is scheduled to take place Saturday, May 3 during the RoadTrip evening banquet. BassResource.com will be raffling off donations from businesses in the fishing industry. 100-percent of the proceeds will be donated to Tackle the Storm Foundation. Every $5 donated to Tackle the Storm Foundation buys a child a rod and reel. Tackle the Storm Foundation is a 501 © (3) charity established by outdoor writer Don Barone in response to the catastrophic tornado that hit Joplin, Mo., Sunday, May 22, 2011. Tackle the Storm Foundation is supported by the generous donations made by individuals and corporate partners including BassResource.com. May, and his wife, Keri, are founding board members of Tackle the Storm Foundation. Attendees may purchase a maximum of 15 tickets at $10 each for the Charlie Ingram raffle. Tickets will be sold at the RoadTrip’s Wednesday evening opening reception to be held at the Lakeside Conference Center at Doublehead Resort located in Town Creek, Ala. BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted April 10, 2014 Author BassResource.com Administrator Posted April 10, 2014 Yes. Wright McGill stepped up to the plate and made a great deal with Tackle The Storm. Ya, they're giving it to them at a loss, but it's a great cause. Sometimes it's better to do the right thing for humanity than for your bottom line. 2 Quote
