What do you prefer for weightless senkos and why if you'd like to include that also.

I use fluoro for it's slack line sensitivity and it's invisibility in clear water.

I like fluoro for the slack line sensitivity as well. However, I often use mono with my senkos for the slightly slower sink rate. I think it gives them a little different action on the drop, as opposed to fluoro. I will usually have one rod with each tied on if I am senko fishing, so I can change back and forth if I think one way is working better or worse.

I use 12lb Sunline sx1 braid with a tip of 6lb-8lb FC.

I use fire line cause it casts a mile. I always put a fluoro leader on it however.

straight fluoro always. for the exact reason you said. slack line sensitivity

Straight fluoro for sensitivity, invisibility, and a faster sink rate.

90% of the time it would be mono for me - I like the slow sink rate - fluoro too fast and braid too slow - but I'll use them in different situations.

I dont really have a preferance, I dont finesse much but I have done both mono and fluoro. I see the advantage of both sides. Slower sink rate and possibly better action on fall with mono, but more sensitivity and less line visibilty with fluoro. Hmmmm, my finesse rod, I have a abu orra sx30 with 2 spools, one with half 20lb braid/ half 8lb fluoro, the other spool with straight 8lb mono. I will have to test out the difference this year!

So it seems the majority of us use fluoro or at least a fluoro leader attached to our main line.

I was just using mono and didn't have any issues. I decided to try fluoro and I've been fishing it about three days now and all I can say is wow, the sensitivity is really that much more responsive. Definitely a big enough difference for me to start using it for all bottom bait applications for sure.

It feels a little weird though almost like a really thin wire in terms of stiffness.

I use mono and a fluoro leader, because with jigs and all plastics I am a line watcher and I like some visibility.

spinning - braid to fc, casting - fc  much for the same reasons already mentioned.

Me too......I really like the Tuf-Line Supercast but have to order it because I am unable to find it locally..........then the fluoro leader.

I really like fluoro for the reason already stated but right now at this time of year I am using Seaguar Senshi Mono. The reason is because I am fishing thick grass this time of year and the Fluoro get hung into the grass, it sinks ahead of the Senko and the line is down in the grass and that really bothers me. Also I like for the Senko to fall as slow as it can and the Mono makes that happen.
