Guys, anyone have experience with both of these bad boyz so they can compare/opine on some attributes?

Which one walks better?

Which one compresses better on the bite?

Which one is more durable?

Looking to upgrade on my usual Koppers frogs this year and we're comin' outta Winter (finally)..

Thanks in advance!

Pad crashers are hard to beat for the money

Boy that was quick :)

How about performance in comparison as well?

Which one is easier to walk?

Does the padcrasher have durability problems?

I personally feel both are very easy to walk.

Both work equally well. The i like the spro poppin frog over the popping pad crasher but ad a whole pad crasher vs spro, they are both great.

Pad crashers are "less durable" in a sense that they just get beat up quicker. Pad crashers are a tad softer or on par with spro. Nothing to lose sleep over.

For mat fishing i could use a pad crasher all day and be happy walking it in small holes.

Open water or weeds i prefer spro popper or spittin wa but the pad crasher walks really well.

Neither are an upgrade from Koppers imo. Pad crahers are a nice budget frog and will catch a ton. But they can all walk just as easily as the next. Its more of a skill set than anything. Get a Koppers field mouse if you want to focus strictly on a walking hollow body topwater.

Of the two that you are looking at, the spro is more durable, the booya is softer and compresses better on the strike and hook-set, and they both walk very well... Koppers are right up there with the spro frogs, but personally i have the most confidence in the KVD frogs, great mix of durability and fishability...

Thanks guys.

Looking for an all-around frog.. mats, holes, open water.. something I can leave on one of my rods all trip.

How about the best frogs for all-arounf walkin.

I take it Bronzeye Shad and Padcrasher are on par.. here.. any better frogs for walkin than these 2?

My koppers I used to think walked pretty well but its doesnt walk nearly as good as I seen videos of Bronzeye Shad nor Padcrasher..

A pad crasher walks fine, and so does a KVD Strike King frog, if your looking for another option. Those are the only two frogs I use.

I am with MarkHO24, its not an upgrade from Koppers in my opinion either. Pad crashers are good frogs that are easy on the wallet. Some frogs may walk easier than others, but it's mainly a skill set that the angler has to possess to really make a frog walk.

The Spro Bronzeye Shad walks crazy easy, but I am not so sure it is an all around frog. I am happy throwing a Spro Frog all day, very durable. The legs have melted on some, but they can be replaced with a silicone skirt.  I have yet to use the Booyah, but I do really like the spro

I've used Spro for many years, last year I tried a Pad Crasher and found it to be MUCH more durable than the Spro. I mean not even close. They both walk well and I've noticed no change in my hook up ratio. The Pad Crasher is less money and is now my go to frog.

I haven't used the bronze eye shad yet. The pad crasher is a very good frog and walks perhaps better than most. That being said, the regular spro frog does walk well and is a bit more durable than the pad crasher. I do like the fact that the pad crasher has a drain on it, so it doesn't retain water like the spro. My favorite frog is the koppers though. Walks great, durable, and has a high hookup rate. The koppers, spro bronze eye, and pad crasher are my top three frogs. It just takes practice to get real good at walking a frog. But keep at it and it won't take long. If I can do it anyone can.

I've had bad luck with the original bronzeye frogs sinking out of the package, so I stray away from them. Although my favorite frog is the Spro popper and it can do anything, it even walks well. I do like the pad crasher too though. I love the way that it sits kind of lower in the water, I feel that when I fish over lighter mats and pads that its butt sticks under and gets more attention. As far as walking, the original bronzeye walked well, just gotta get a floater. The Pad Crasher is easy to walk too, you might just be a little rusty on the walking skills. Also the rod you use could have an impact on how easy it is to walk the frog.

I used to only throw the pad crasher because it was a cheaper frog that still looks really good, with that being said I switched to Spro last year.  The pad crasher is by far the softest hollowbody frog I have thrown and quite durable at the same time and it walks like a dream. Only downfall on the pad crasher was the hooks were a bit light for my liking.  My reason for switching to Spro is that they are bigger frogs, more durable, still walk fantastic, beefier hooks, and a bit wider so they skip really well.

Both are great frogs but I would spend the extra few dollars and get Spro.

I personally like the pad crasher better than spro or koppers. It walks easily and is super soft for great hookup ratio. I havent had near the hookup issues with pad crashers versus the others. Yes it may not last as long as the others but they are easy on the wallet especially when you find them on sale. Academy has some on sale now

Can't really go wrong with any of those, I cross shop between all brands and try to spread it around a little- each will walk, look, pop, sit and act slightly different and will also have different color options.  It's all about getting to know them each individually and figuring out where and when you like to use them.  I like the regular bronzeyes (Killer Gill has been my go-to) for walking wake style bait the best (unless I can choose a furbit for faster retrieves and less walk), and I personally like the bronzeye poppers best for popping too.  Seems to be slightly more streamlined and I like the satin finish on the plastic for some of their colors.

Can't say anything bad about the live target or koppers frogs either though, great frogs for the $$ and I use them too!  Spros are just my favorite.

I've used all three. I think I rate the Pad Crasher on top because it's super soft, very easy to walk, and is the best value. The Spro's are a bit harder to walk but by no means hard. They come in a lot of different colors and hold up quite well. The Bronzeye Shad I don't think is as versatile of a bait because of it's longer glides. I think it's better suited for open water, sparse grass, or around thick edges. The Live Target frogs are good too. I haven't used them as much as the other two, but they walk easily and again have a nice soft body.

All in all you can't go wrong with any of those three. Personally though, my go to is the Pad Crasher!

Personally I like the pad crashers. It's easy to walk and you don't feel bad if you throw it in a tree and loose it. Naturally, this allows you to throw the frog in areas with very dense cover because you aren't worried about loosing a $10+ frog. Just my opinion......
