NEjitterbugger Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 4.56lb fish, state record is 9lbs 3oz = 49.62% It was fun while it lasted LOL, I'll upgrade but so will everyone else... 1 Quote
mnbassman23 Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 I doubt mine will last long either man lol. I think we'll both have to upgrade a few times to contend. What bait were you throwing? Got to love it when they choke it head first like that 1 Quote
Super User RoLo Posted April 27, 2014 Super User Posted April 27, 2014 I boated a couple 4 pounders this afternoon (oddly, both weighed exactly 3-15) then finished the day with a 6-10 (23") for a state score of '38'. Though I've got the weight trend moving in the right direction, I'll need a double-digit bass to stay in the race against the BR hotshots. Roger 6 Quote

Super User Shane J Posted April 27, 2014 Super User Posted April 27, 2014 That scale is the bomb! Nice fish, too. Well done, Rolo. 1 Quote
mnbassman23 Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Roger I'll gladly take that 6-10 off your hands if you don't want it great fish. Hope you tie into a DD. 1 Quote
Super User RoLo Posted April 28, 2014 Super User Posted April 28, 2014 Guys, I'm beginning to think that the bass are having fun with me. Today, my best fish looked about a pound heavier than yesterday's best. NUH UH, the trusty Brecknell told me that my eyes ran out on stems and it threw away the extra pound Today's girl weighed 6-11, exactly one-ounce heavier than yesterday's (pathetic). Yeah I've got pictures of her, but for one lousy ounce I didn't bother going through the FTP process. Roger 2 Quote
Weld's Largemouth Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 I'm not posting anything until I get something that's at least 50%. Not like it matters, I know I'll need a 70%+ to even contend with Dwight NY State 7.0 lbs / 11.25 lbs = .62222222 .62222 * 100 = 62.2! Good score i guess, more than halfway to the state record! 1 Quote

Lee, I'm sure you're tired of hearing this from me, but next month (May), you & your lovely wife will be scooping up the fat ladies Speaking of ole bass, the girl below with the belly sores threw me a curveball. I thought she weighed a pound more than my 6-10 on Saturday, but weighed only "1-ounce" more (6-11) Lee, if you & I hope to stand a chance against the BR sharpshooters, we need to be gunning for a 12-pound hippo Roger 5 Quote

So at least we have the genetic pool to compete. 2 Quote

Brian Needham Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 When does this competition end? the "competition" ends when Dwight post his first picture..... but the game ends at the end of the month I believe, not sure. 2 Quote
Brian Needham Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 So I still have time to try and enter. you had to declare your intention in the other thread, so probably not. good news is, they do it every year. 00mod, Ajay, fishing daddy, someone will be here shortly to clarify. Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted May 6, 2014 Super User Posted May 6, 2014 You had to declare In the previous thread. Just keep an eye out for next years. Jeff 1 Quote
shimmy Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Well Dwight is starting early, i am liking that we already have a score around 70 at the moment. It will take a 75ish to be in the top three of this thing. I'll be able to start my season off tomorrow by finally fishing more than an hour and am excited. I am ready to put something on the thread and it might be a one pounder but i don't care. Game face is on...which probably doesn't mean anything to the fish and i will probably not catch anything big. Nevertheless, i'm going to pretend that i am ready to catch something big for this season 2 Quote
BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted May 6, 2014 Author BassResource.com Advertiser Posted May 6, 2014 The Contest runs through June 15. Don't forget that this year we have 3 categories; Largemouth, Smallmouth, and Spot. 3 winners with prizes this year. Quote
mnbassman23 Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Time to upgrade. She weighed in at 5.97lbs. State record is 9lb 3oz. Should be a total of 64.98% 8 Quote
