I been disabled since 2002. I can't walk too much. My distance I can walk is limited. But my back pain has become worse. I'm going for tests soon. I'm going to refuse any operations until I can't fish at all. This is why I ask questions about tackle because I can't walk in the stores yet. Sorry if I'm a pain.

I luckily have some places were I can fish near the car.

My bought with prostate cancer is its in remission. I mainly think about bass fishing. The videos are awesome here. This is the best bass sight on the planet. I have been here with Glenn from the very beginning. I've learned alot about bass fishing with lures here too. Thanks for this site Glenn.

God bless, bigbill

Glenn and the guys here have shown me a lot about bass fishing. I drive up to a crowded place with my son. He throws a Norman thin n in chartreuse killer and I go with a bomber fat A crank in redapplecraw and within minutes of arriving there we both pull out 2 1/2-3# bass. The crowd stares at us.

Hey, Bill, I don't think anyone finds you annoying. Your posts are great. Quirky for sure, but they show an honesty and awareness many sorely lack.

Your post on stealth is a gem.

A big part of this forum is the family atmosphere. The common goal Is to be a better fisherman but more than that the generosity of others with Information and all kinds of goodwill are what makes this the best fishing forum on the 'net.

Bill, you keep posting and don't have a second thought about anything! If this forum can help you stay positive through the trials of life then every word typed Is essential, keep that in mind. Stay strong and keep posting.

If anybody here is annoying it's that Fishing Rhino guy. Keeps posting pictures of himself with a bird on his head. Like he's the bird whisperer or something. Sheesh!

C'Mon... How could anyone who has contributed so much here think hes a pain.

You dont have to fish everyday on big famous lakes and rivers, or enter every available tournament to be of value to those who sign on to learn.

In the 4 years I've been on this site you are one of those who's opinion I value, and hopefully 1 day be able to meet in person.

Be Well, Be Positive

Don't wait too long to take care of severe back pain. The feeling of numbness in your feet is telling you the nerves are being damaged, they don't recover. When you loose the ability to balance because you lost feeling your walking gait suffers, you stumble and end up injured.

2 years ago I finally had to have spinal surgery, recovery is slow but you do recover. Now I am back to hooking up the boat and fishing, life is better not perfect, getting older isn't easy.

Take care of your back sooner than later, life is too short to live in severe pain.

Spring is a good time to shore fish, pick warm calm days and the bass will come to you.

I've only been a posting member for the last few months and agree with whitwolf.  Keep doing what your doing, stay positive, be yourself, and keep posting.  You have probably forgot more then I have learned.  And I learn more each day from the many members on this forum and contribute when I can.  But like Tom said to, don't wait to long to take care of those issues that may take you away from fishing all together instead of missing a few months while recovering.

Hang in there bb. I have been disabled since the mid ninties.  Listen to what WRB is saying. I have had 4 back surgeries including a fusion. It was completely necessary and if I had not chosen the fusion, I would be a total cripple now. Good luck and keep on posting.

Have heard some good story's from back surgerys....get a doc your comfortable enough with to invite home to dinner.  Not just someone that goes to work and then runs home.

May God Bless

Everyone treats adversity differently.  Some keep it to themselves.  Others find it helpful to talk about it.  Nothing wrong with either, and no need to apologize.  We all need to lean on others at times in our lives.  And we all do it in different ways.

Now if you were like the obnoxious slonezp, that would be another matter entirely.  He needs to spend the rest of his life doing penance.  He's just upset because I haven't sent him an autographed photo.

WRB is correct.  Deal with your back issues sooner rather than later.  My pop has been dead for a long time now.  The last few years of his life, I watched him deal with degenerative bone issues in his  hips.  It got a little worse every day.   His primary reason for not dealing with it was a fear of doctors.  He had health insurance.  For the most part he chose to self medicate the bone pain with scotch.   By the time he had reasoned with himself enough to go see a doctor about his hip condition, other age-related health issues occurred and soon he was dead.  He was 59.  In retrospect, I can understand that he had some deep rooted fears about growing old.

The point of this story is that, in my opinion, it is better to confront health issues sooner rather than later.  Understanding and dealing with real health issues is easier and more fruitful than dealing with latent health fears about what could be and might be.  Good luck & stay strong in your head.

This advice isn't coming from a know-it-all, but rather from a guy who's had health issues ( physical & mental) most of his life, so take it any way you want/need to.

Bill, keep positive and if this site helps then we are all doing something positive by participating. Keep posting away and I hope this whole thing is behind you soon. I have had two back surgeries over the years like many on this site. Sometimes they do help. Make sure you have a good Neurosurgeon, not an orthopedic surgeon. They specialize in this type of surgery. God bless and may relief come soon.

The only thing you'll need forgiveness for is if you stop posting like you always have! You're part of the family. Take good care of yourself!

Topwaterspook we been through he'll together with our battles against the big C. I have one more challenge that life has thrown at me. I have had this lower back pain all my life. Now it's at its worst. I'm going to battle through this too.

I have a good heart now too. I was over medicated when I lost 70# so quickly. My veins are ok too.

I'm chomping at the bit to go bass fishing. The weather is still unsettled here with the wind. I want to take my 4 year old grandson fishing soon.

I can't walk into the stores and look at fishing equipment so I ask you guys what's good and what's hot.
