jhoffman Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Find the bait, find the fish right? Well not so yesterday. Found a cove with 10,000 gizzard shad in it, not a game fish in there eating them. They were dying left and right, it was the most absurd thing I have ever seen. Gizzard shad, laying on the bottom dead and bass god knows where. Quote
Super User everythingthatswims Posted April 15, 2014 Super User Posted April 15, 2014 I'm wondering when the big girls are gonna quit ignoring the senko as it falls 6" in front of their face and actually start feeding Quote
Lendiesel22 Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 My father got 10 yesterday in DE on a black Senko, 2 over 5lbs. Quote
Super User geo g Posted April 15, 2014 Super User Posted April 15, 2014 Everythingthatswims, throw the smaller 4" senko type bait (watermelon red), weightless, on a Gama EGW hook. They have been killing it down here for months. Slow fall, hangs in front of there face. Let it sit on the bottom for a minute and then just shake it. Someone will pick it up. You have to fish slow, most of the time. 1 Quote
Super User Master Bait'r Posted April 15, 2014 Author Super User Posted April 15, 2014 I have such a hard time concentrating on things that aren't what I want to be doing. It really is so hard to stay on task sometimes... And by sometimes I mean all the time. Quote
Lendiesel22 Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 drop shot.......jig worm.........waking a spinner bait.......just some things that I am thinking about lol Quote
redux Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 I'm thinking about using a bait caster to catch a large mouth bass in Central Florida after work. Quote
macmichael Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 When I don't use my bass boat I go a couple times a week at some small local ponds. What's on my mind today is why can't I put back to back days of catching fish? Quote
Jason Short Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 What's on my mind today? How could Jesus love us so much that he was willing to be whipped, beaten, spit on, cursed at, and nailed to a cross to save our sinful souls... 2 Quote
SENKOSAM Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Now that I'm retired, I must decide where to fish I haven't fished in a long time. It's tough seeing as the price of gas is $3.70/gal. and I hate going to a more distant water and having to figure it out all over again. But it's spring in NY, prespawn, and the opportunities for some easy shallow water catches makes it worth it. Other than that, I must consider going through my mega inventory of old (but little used new) lures I haven't used in many years and forcing myself to use them based on my many experiences. Quote
OntarioFishingGuy Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Fish. Fish are what is on my mind. Quote
Bass NC Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Big storm coming through the south this Easter weekend. Here in NC we've gotten about an inch in the past 24 hours. Sad days..... Quote
HeavyFisher Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 What's for dinner, this is whats on my mind....every....day Quote
jhoffman Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 Spent fifty bucks to fish for ten mins at the beach. Went on vacation five hundred miles from home and it never got above 40. Broke a $1400 porcelain veneer biting line. Went to bps and I've outgrown it, too much of a bait snob. Quote
buttonreel Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Can't wait to come home from vacation and hit the lakes and ponds again Quote
mod479 Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Went on a road trip yesterday, checked not one, but 3 of my favorite little lakes to fish in the mountains....all 3 still frozen solid. Northern NY problems. Quote
Super User Master Bait'r Posted April 21, 2014 Author Super User Posted April 21, 2014 Going to be 70 and sunny after work! One guess what I'm doing. Quote
CDMeyer Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 I probably should get off this site and do homework so I do not become ineligible to fish our state tournament, hahahah my grades are not that bad, but it is distracting Quote
Super User Master Bait'r Posted April 23, 2014 Author Super User Posted April 23, 2014 Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand the bait monkey strikes again. At least I'll get another TW sticker I guess haha Quote
