tholmes Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 I like Plano 3500 boxes because they fit in the spaces in my big tackle box. Tom Quote

McAlpine Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 I went to all Plano waterproof 3700's this year. Strong box, nice seal, heavy latches on three sides. 1 Quote
Super User Scott F Posted April 3, 2014 Super User Posted April 3, 2014 I live close to the Plano factory and visit their outlet store when I can. I get 3600 and 3700 size boxes of various styles for $1.50 to $3 each. So I use a lot of those. I never carry tons of tackle even on long trips. I keep all my lures in 3700 boxes. Each box has one style of baits, When I go fishing, I fill empty 3600 boxes with what I plan on using on that outing so I don't have to bring 50 of each bait. I have tackle bags that hold 4 to 8, of the 3600 size boxes. The main problem with this system is If I don't empty the 3600's back to the 3700's, my lures get so scattered in so many boxes, I can't find anything. 1 Quote
Super User bigbill Posted April 3, 2014 Super User Posted April 3, 2014 I use mainly 3700 tackle boxes in my x large soft sided magnum boat bag and for home storage too. Quote

I'm paying $6-8ea. I also do the same thing you do but just with other 3700 boxes. Quote
alexandboi Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 I use plano 3701. I find that the extra space in the regular 3700 never gets used anyways so the 3701 save a little weight and space. This is very important for me since I fish from the bank the majority of the time. Quote

bucketmouthbeatdown Posted April 4, 2014 Author Posted April 4, 2014 I like the Plano waterproofs or Bass mafia's....but what about for terminal tackle and the dreaded mixing of tackle??? Quote
basscatcher8 Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 I found a deal on tuff tainers at gander mountain at 4 for 14. I think I bought 4 packs of 4 so i got 16 of em. They work awesome and I love I dont have to sit and break the dividers apart they are already individual. Quote
Brian Needham Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 for stuff I wanted totally secure and water proof I got two bass mafia bait coffins. I got the deep for jigs, I put every jig I own in it and only filled half the box. I am shocked at the amount of room in these boxes I got the normal one for terminal tackle...... I am REALLY going to like both of these boxes, the number of configurations you can use with all the dividers make them worth the price tag. for everything else I just get the normal everyday deep 3700. Super User Master Bait'r Posted April 4, 2014 Super User Posted April 4, 2014 3601s. Gotta love the diagonal separators to squeeze every fraction of an inch out of your 3600 soft sider Quote
RipSomeLips Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 I just carry one lure...it is a mini figure of Chuck Norris. It's great because I am guaranteed to catch at least 1 fish on every cast. Also because it's chuck norris the lure never even gets a scratch on it, and it has never broken off because the fish are to scared to But I suppose if I did carry lots of lures it would be in 5 plano 3600 boxes out of a blue pro qualifier 360 bag from bps. I also might be thinking about getting the double deep 3700 versions for a large size upgrade in the near future. Quote
Bass Junkie Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Pano 3771's for all hardbaits, with regular 3700 boxes taking care of pretty much everything else. Quote
Alpha Male Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Pano 3771's for all hardbaits, with regular 3700 boxes taking care of pretty much everything else. I have 2 3771's and I find that they work great for all my hooks. and the hardbaits just go into a 3701. Quote
John Hansen Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Been using one of these, I like it cause I fish for every fish species under the sun short of salt water. I can have any different plastic containers filled for certain species and just take what ever I need/want that day. And being a bank fisherman its nice and easy to lug around. My only complaint and maybe someone can help me solve this issue is terminal tackle, Hooks, sinkers, swivels etc seem to mix compartments... anyone help me fix that? I got away from the traditional tackle box style cause one day I forgot to bungee it down to the bed of the truck and by the time I got to my fishing destination it had rolled and bounced around and mixed everything inside up... Quote
TheMightyQuinn Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 I'm a fan of the 3701. Its a thinner box, which means I can fit more in my tackle bags. 1 Quote
