Bass Junkie Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 What I mean is there is no way a "swimbait" should cost as much as some rods....They need their heads kicked in for that priceIf you don't plan on buying one, that's perfectly fine. It's the beauty of Capitalism. But there's no reason to bash a product that you've had absolutely no experience with and no intention of buying. Remember, on the other end of that product is a guy that's making his best run of living his dream. If you don't wish to support that, it's your choice, but to criticize a product and say that the owner neeeds physically attacked for the price displays a distinct lack of class. 1 Quote

I do have a couple of Dobyns rods I could throw that on, with no worries at all.....It is all a matter of personal choice If you don't plan on buying one, that's perfectly fine. Capitalism has driven the market today, and yes, that is the beauty of it, it allows people to live out their dreams. And for one to take what I said "LITERALLY," that was not the intent. Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted April 10, 2014 Global Moderator Posted April 10, 2014 And the point I always like to make is most that gripe about that price have no problem forking over $7 a bag for a 10 pack of Senkos. After a couple seasons of fishing you could easily go through enough Senkos to spend that much, while that rat bait will be going strong maybe for the rest of your fishing life if you don't smack it off a rock or let a big fish wrap you up. It's not even an expensive rat bait for that matter. Quote

I could probably buy 3 of those for the amount of money I have spent on plastics......and the 3 wouldn't take as much space either as the plastic's I don't use but have. Besides, if they are handcrafted here in the US, then why not. I give the maker props that he worked hard enough to market a bait that he made himself. Good old American Dream. Quote
basshole8190 Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 I think brock from hiroshima customs has a part in making those baits. paint i think. but if he's involved its got to be good. he has intentionally turned down money from hundreds of guys because he's not completely satisfied with his glide bait. and the prototypes I've seen video of are nothing shy of impressive. so these rats maybe worth the money. about the same price as a nezumma rat Quote

Crankinstein Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 It really is a crazy looking bait, I just watched the video of it and it has a very unique action. I'm sure it could def be worth the price to someone. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted April 10, 2014 Super User Posted April 10, 2014 It's a good cranking rat. Brock is painting them. He got me in contact with the bait maker last year. I agree, $135 is a lot to spend on a lure but if it lasts and catches you bigger fish then I feel it's worth it. And yes, that is a mid-tier price on a rat. Quote
jhoffman Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 i looked at the nezumma yesterday, its at least $50-$70 more Quote
