jiggz125 Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I picked up 1/2oz mini strike king flip jig. How do you rig the trailer on these? The shank of the hook is so short and then there is bulky metal. I was trying to rig a paca chunk sr and don't see how to put it on straight. I have rigged other swim jigs and booyah jigs without any issues. Do I use a specific type of trailer? Quote
jeff25 Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 i usually bite the end of the paca chunk off so it fits right and the hook comes out of the nose Quote
FlipnLimits Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 You may have to bite-off a chunk of your trailer to make it shorter to fit the shank. You'll have to slide your trailer onto the bulky shank. It is what it is. I like those little jigs at times. FL Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted April 3, 2014 Super User Posted April 3, 2014 I am going to give you one of my most guarded secrets.............or just a tip.........you be the judge. Use a REGULAR Pace craw, not the chunk. The "baby" size mates up with the 1/2 oz. Bitsy Flip well. Cut the "tail" off where it meets the "torso" of the craw....it's hollow. Put a little Megastrike on the lead blob on the hook shank, and thread the hollow part of the paca craw on it. It stays put, and gives you a nice compact package...................Brrrrrp......................your welcome. Quote
jiggz125 Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 I got it thanks guys. Just needed to push it up over the bulky portion. I was afraid the plastic would rip but its on there pretty good now. Looks pretty deadly. Cant wait to use it. Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted April 3, 2014 Super User Posted April 3, 2014 I "discovered" the Missile Fuse 4.4's and they work great on a bitsy jig. Trim off some of the end to get the desired profile you want. I tend to keep it long and lanky. More action on the fall. Quote
jiggz125 Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 Here it is; Bitsy Flip Jig Green Craw with Paca Chunk SR Sun Perch; hope it works. Quote
