Ok, So I was looking at a more cost friendly rod. I like dobyns but they are way expensive

I bought a duckett. In hand it feels nice. The guides are all straight and balances well. I will be doing a full review after I fish it some more. Paired with a BPS PQ. I got the 7' heavy for jigs/ heavy t rigs

They are not bad rods but I think for the money there are better options. The *** or Irod genesis 2

Had a 13 hated the reel seat. I haven't heard good things about irod costumer service or guides/blank problems.

I purchased one a couple of months ago with the micro guides. So far I am pleased with it.

I have never had a problem with customer service from Irod. It's nice that the number on the website is the owner cell number. I wast a fan of Dobyns warranty and the Duckett rods to me are no different than the skeet Reese rods. To each his own

what's not to like?

you can snap it over your knee, pay the processing/shipping and you get a new rod, no questions.

I just had a problem with them on a couple of champion extremes. Just personal preference

so you sent in your rod and a check and they didnt send you a new one?

(which is industry standard)

Genesis II is my favorite rod. I'll take a genesis II over omens, gl2's, powells, and most other rods within $100.

It's just my opinion guys. I had a problem that I discussed with Gary himself a few years back. I wasn't happy with how it was handled. Everybody has there preference on what rod the choose to use. I have been fortunate enough to fish with lots of brands high end and entry level and I make my decisions on what I feel best suits my needs.im bashing anybody's brand just stating my opinion.
