Do these things have any real advantages in the real world? They look impressive in their promotional material, but I wonder if they really make much difference in practice?

I did get to fish them when I was down on Table Rock lake and all I can say is, I found a new jig! The *** is everything they say it is!!!!!! It is very hard to get hung-up and it hooks the bass in the top of the head.GREAT JIG! :occasion14:  :notworthy:

I just bought 8 *** heads for a trip next week.  I'm curious to see if they live up to the hype.  I will post back after I've had a chance to use them.

Ive used them and they are great. They really do go through cover better than any of my other jigs... even my brush head jigs. I will say that the only thing I don't like about them is that the hook size looks small compared to the size of the jig head.

I did wonder about the hook ups. The weed guard prongs look quite thick. Do they seem to hook as well as conventional jigs?

I set the hook with the same force that I do with any other jig. The hook size I did not have a problem with!

The later models (Iovino- TW series) use a Owner hook and work good in around cover, wood and rocks. Not sure what hook is standard today?

Depending on jig wt and hook size: .062-.065 D wire.
