dday07 Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 i noticed how alot of people are now putting swimbaits on there spinnerbaits.what swimbaits do you recommend for this? thanks Quote
Vinny Chase Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 LF Live Magic Shad I personally think its overkill to put a swimbait on a spinnerbait, but I do like them on swim jigs, chatterbaits, sworming hornets. Quote
Super User Hammer 4 Posted February 20, 2011 Super User Posted February 20, 2011 I like the 3" Big Hammer swimbaits. 8-) Quote
JoePhish Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 I've caught oodles of bass on a 1/4 oz. Strike King Redfish Magic spinner with a Swimsenko trailer. Quote
Mattlures Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 I would think the saltwater style swimbaits would be the best to use as trailers. Fish trap, Big hammer, etc. These baits are solid, not hollow or they have no hook slots. They are made to go on lead heads so they will stay on better and they should last longer. Quote
basscrusher Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 The possibilities are almost endless. I've had luck with Berkley PowerMullets (saltwater swimbait), swimsenkos, and some thing that was made by riverside before it became Yum -- it looks almost exactly like the swimbait on the SK Redfish Magic. If you want to keep it inexpensive, the obvious answer is a 4" or 6" Sassy Shad. Quote
