A few shots after polishing the Pinion and Drive Gear on my CQ 50DC...I am really after the inside of the pinion along with the teeth as well as the teeth on the drive gear and the spool tips. Though the rest is shiny there is not much gain there but it is hard to put it back together half baked so to say. I also upgraded to CarbonTex drag washers while it was in for its first annual cleaning.I would have taken a shot of it put back together but it was getting late last night and I forgot about the third spool bearing located on the spool shaft so it is soaking right now........

What did you use to polish the gear teeth?

I use the Aluminum Polish on the interior of the pinion and the body of the drive gear. The rest is with the hair wheels and the Fabulustre which a friend in the jewelry business got for me....
