quanjig Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Regrets, a few........ I'm sure in some way my decisions that were made have made me the person I am today. Not a big fan of hindsight, makes you really question if your decision making process is sound. I love my life, wouldn't change any of it!! Quote
fishinthedacks Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Boy I have a lot but tough to say that because with all my choices I made I may not have my son and my future wife. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted April 3, 2014 Super User Posted April 3, 2014 that's serious weight loss! Quote
Super User bigbill Posted April 5, 2014 Super User Posted April 5, 2014 I wish I spent more time with my children instead of working all the time. I should of never worked so hard to save my body and health for retirement. I should of got into bass fishing more serious when I was younger. I should of stayed in the forests logging I was in better shape health wise. The corporate engineering job I hated it but the money was good. I'd rather be broke and happy with my job. After felling trees one day during the light snow I put the saw down and sat on a fresh cut stump and listened to the snow hit the ground. No one has a better workplace than me. Nobody. Having a corporate engineering job I was a blue collar steel worker in a white collar job. I had the corporate benefits the big shots had. The 401k plan was awesome. Quote
mjseverson24 Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 I am still young (25) but I have plenty of regrets. I spent too much time when I was younger trying to be like everybody else, trying to be "cool", apparently that meant barely passing high school... Luckily I joined the US NAVY, which was one of the three best decisions I ever made... (The other two are Marry my wife, and love God...) The Navy gave me the opportunity to start new, to make something of myself... I owe much of my success today to the brave men who mentored, and trained me during my 4 years on active duty... They taught me that there is nothing that you cannot accomplish if you want it bad enough... I have taken these lessons from my friends and mentors, and applied it to my collegiate career, and have been very successful... so some of my biggest regrets are what lead me to be the person I am today... One regret i want back... I broke off what was close if not a state record (9 lbs) largemouth during a tournament last year on Leech Lake, because i didn't retie a jig after i caught a 4.75 lber the previous pitch... I would like this one back... Mitch Quote
RAMBLER Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 I wouldn't mind having about a nickel for every gallon of beer I drank. Could probably have a really nice bass boat. Quote

Sorry Mitch, but tisk tisk, you know the rules.....retie after a big fish! I hope you get another shot at her this year. Quote
bassin is addicting Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 yes... i regret that i didn't take my son to church more when he was young. i went....and took him ....but not often enough in my opinion. i let my wife (ex-now) dictate to him that he didn't need to go and let him sleep in. i certainly regret that...but i was trying to keep peace. thankfully, he understands now. Mods.....if this is considered a "religious post"...feel free to delete it..certainly not trying to stir anything up...just what i "regret" 1 Quote
bighed Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 I regret not coming to faith until pretty late in life. Could have saved myself most of the misery I experienced in the first 50 years. As above, please delete if this is deemed out of bounds Quote
