Tylertut Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 I went out to a small public pond today to try out senkos for the first time and caught this little guy on a wacky rig. As I was walking the edge of the pond I saw these egg sacks. I tried to look them up but couldn't find anything that looked like them. Anyone have any ideas? Quote

Super User Darren. Posted March 30, 2014 Super User Posted March 30, 2014 Welcome to the Senko + wacky world! Addicting... And no idea as to the eggs. Very interesting, though. Quote

I just found it odd that there were no fish around the eggs. Yellow perch aren't nest builders like bass; they are more similar to broadcast spawners. Lay the eggs up around any dead vegetation or woody material. The eggs are very sticky and adhere to the shallow cover. Perch will then move out and hang in the general area for a little while, but don't guard. -T9 1 Quote
