Nice_Bass Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Hey all. Thoughts on this? I am going to order an extra as both mine are a bit beat up and one needs retired for good. Going to order a new one, and cannot decide between the two. I have always used MG machete III's however may get the ninja 2 blade. I typically fish deep open water in wind with a tin boat so I would like to give the 2 blade a chance, however am worried about noise and extra vibration. Not much of a weedy lake fisherman, but when I do i would have my old machete III to change to. Any good thoughts? 12v 55# MG Quote
Super User Way2slow Posted March 30, 2014 Super User Posted March 30, 2014 We'll, I'm just the opposite. I find the two blade will give the most speed but does not do grass and weeds very well. The three or four blade is better for vegetation with the four being the slowest. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted March 30, 2014 Super User Posted March 30, 2014 A two blade provides greater thrust, but a three blade is more weed less. Quote
Super User WIGuide Posted April 1, 2014 Super User Posted April 1, 2014 2 Blade will give you more open water speed/power but won't do well in the grass. You shouldn't have to worry about any vibration. Get a 3 for the grass as it'll do better than the two. Also, they used to make a 4-blade ninja that would go through ANYTHING, however you did it slowly. They had very little power in open water which is why Motorguide started making the 3 blade prop. It was a happy medium between the two. Quote
Nice_Bass Posted April 1, 2014 Author Posted April 1, 2014 thank you all that replied. I was also in the understanding that the two blade would work better for open water which is what I do the most anyhow so I opted for the two blade and we'll see how it goes Quote
