Do yourself a favor and don't try it the first time in a crosswind. Ask the previous owner how far he put the trailer in the water when he owned it. The depth of the trailer can make or break you. There is a sweet spot. Study it on YouTube. Go to a bass tournament and watch the launch and recovery if you can. A busy boat launch on a Saturday is some serious comedy. Quote

Hey, nothing wrong with providing your audience at the ramp a few laughs…I remember my first launch and the fantastic rooster tail I created as I attempted to back off the bunks. Make sure you remove the rear tie downs before you back down the ramp. Enjoy your boat. Quote
