MNGeorge Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 What's the over/under on how many weeks until we see the first "pre Pure Fishing" Flatt Shad, Koolie Minnow and/or Magic Swimmer ad on the flea market forum? ;D

Super User BASSclary Posted February 9, 2011 Super User Posted February 9, 2011 I hope PF doesn't ruin Sebile stuff. I really like their stuff I have now.
0119 Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 I hate this giant conglomerate stuff but maybe just maybe it'll get better like Penn improved recently. I wonder what a master lure maker who travels anywhere to fish for everything, will do with all that new $ and free time. I wish he was my Dad!
Thad Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Patrick seemed so passionate about his lures. I wonder if he will still be apart of the design of the lures at all. I really liked his enthusiasm in his demonstrations. *edit* Looks like he will still be involved with the company. Glad to hear that.
0119 Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Last month on the season premier of Hunt for Big Fish he talked about how he had new and interesting ideas he was working on bring out.

0119 Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 I agree, that was my point. But its still not good for the consumer when everything is eaten up and owned by just 3 or 4 parent companies.

0119 Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 yeah and wipes out the little guy and destroys the american dream and makes for a microeconomy which sets prices that in the long term are not beneficial to the consumer. And ultimately your wallet looses.

Super User OkobojiEagle Posted February 10, 2011 Super User Posted February 10, 2011 yeah and wipes out the little guy and destroys the american dream Maybe we could have Patrick Sebile tell us if he feels "wiped out" after he cashes his check from Pure Fishing. It appears to me that he is a shining example of what the american dream is all about. steve

Super User Gatorbassman Posted February 11, 2011 Super User Posted February 11, 2011 yeah and wipes out the little guy and destroys the american dream For the record.. The previous owner of Sebile is French.. I'm just sayin. :-/
1bassbroker Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 I've never used a Sebile lure.. how do you guys like them?
0119 Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Im not talking about Sebile making out. Im not talking about an immigrant making the american dream. Im talking how $18.32 for a 8pk of shrimptails by Trigger-X a.k.a. Sufix a.k.a. Rapala is ultimately good for Mr. Conglomerate but hurts us. Because thats the price they are on the shelf at BPS right now. And if you think $17.00 is alot for a Sebile Magic Swimmer now how much more are they gonna be when Pure Fishing uses the excuse they are now tested in their state of the art complex in Iowa, to set the price even higher. Its Gulp all over again.
Incheon Basser Posted February 12, 2011 Author Posted February 12, 2011 Some folks need to take an economics class or business class and learn the basics of supply and demand. I'm just saying... and for Mr Sebile, Millions for the name and rights. a big salary to continue making and designing baits and non of the responsibility or head ache of running a business. Sounds pretty dang good to me. I would be curious what Matt or Bobby would have to say about this? get Millions for your company name. still get to design and make new baits and collect a fat check... How about it?
Primus Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 I've never used a Sebile lure.. how do you guys like them? I'm a big fan of their Flat Shad lipless cranks, one of the best out there in my opinion.
Super User deaknh03 Posted February 12, 2011 Super User Posted February 12, 2011 I've never used a Sebile lure.. how do you guys like them? the splashers are awesome as well, and I also like the koolie minnows and the rattlesters as well, not so hot on the bonga minnows tho.
baluga Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 I've never used a Sebile lure.. how do you guys like them? I'm pretty successful with Magic Swimmer hard bait: here's some results:
0119 Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Business class and the science of economics teaches you whats good for business not whats good for your wallet. Business and the economy preys on the consumer it never benefits its. Keep dreaming
baluga Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 yeah and wipes out the little guy and destroys the american dream For the record.. The previous owner of Sebile is French.. I'm just sayin. :-/ What an entrepreneur. Created a business, got his money, and got out. 8-)
0119 Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Im talking about Pure Fishing, how conglomerates are eating up the Patrick Sebiles not the guy himself. Besides since when is a non american citizen entitled to the 'american dream'? As if the american dream was anything but a notion dreamed up by corporate owned media anyway.
