I love using my GoPro in my boat when I am bass fishing, however I am looking to achieve the aerial shots that I have seen some guys capturing on youtube and other sites. I have a painters pole that I mounted my GoPro to and I can get underwater footage up to 18ft deep. I have seen some people mount cameras on a pole in the back of the boat and I was wondering if anyone here has done this.

I got one for Christmas and will be getting another probably a silver to run full time on the front deck. I built a attachment for the top of my push pole that fits in the back hole of my boat. I can't wait to put it 12' in the air for frog fishin!

How will you mount the push pole to the boat?

I bought a Hero3+ Black for my video needs. So far I really like it. The remote will be nice. I cant comment on these really tall poles for pictures though, I have no plans to take pictures like that. But I did buy a 6 foot monopod to use like you may see Tackle Warehouse using for their bass videos.

I have used my stern light. It is not as tall as I would like but works for me.

I just ordered my GoPro Hero 3+, Silver tonight! Ordered the head harness/clip and the Jaws Clamp mount.

I can't wait to play with the stuff from the bank and from my canoe.

The best part is, that thanks to AmEx points, it was all free!!! To bad they don't have fishing gear for rewards.

I have the hero3+ black edition with many accessories and it's an awesome investment.
