Where I live in NC, it's been warm one day, and freezing for a week before it gets warm for another two days, and it's just a vicious cycle. Iv only caught three bass all year. I dont know why I havent thought of this before now, but Imma go out today after work and try a drop shot rig, to see if My luck changes. My question to you is; would plastic work better under the cold water circumstances, or would I be better off using live bait? Thanks.. And if I get anything, Ill def. keep you informed.

I'm not expirienced at fishing cold water. Today its in the low to mid forties with off and on rain showers. Would it even be worth it to make the trip out there?
