daiwaguy Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 The issue is that it ended up in my hand. I am not even sure if this should be posted in this forum but if not just move it. This is what happens when your wife throws her coat on your rod with a jerkbait and you be Mr nice guy by not cutting it out and trying to pull it out. Quote
Super User Darren. Posted March 24, 2014 Super User Posted March 24, 2014 Daaaaang! That'll be sore for a few days! Quote
daiwaguy Posted March 24, 2014 Author Posted March 24, 2014 Yeah I have never had one go that deep. It took a few tries to get it out and that was the tough part. Having to grab after you didnt rip hard enough just makes you not want to try again. Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted March 24, 2014 Super User Posted March 24, 2014 Wow I hope this never happens to me. Quote
FrankW Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 I would have pushed it through so the tip was exposed and cut off the tip/barb. Then it is easy to extract. Frank Quote

You'd probably have to cut the one hook off so it wouldn't rip that one too but the one on the right looks like a better candidate to pushing all the way through anyway. Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Wow!! Ouch. I hope it heals quick for you. Quote
daiwaguy Posted March 27, 2014 Author Posted March 27, 2014 I tried twice to push it through and it was so deep it just wouldnt come out, thats when I decided to try and pull it with the pliers. When that didnt work I went with the line trick and after a few broken pieces of mono I went to yarn and it did the trick. It actually felt 100 percent back to normal yesterday. 1 Quote
frogflogger Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 99% of the time the line trick is the best way to go - Quote
