My cousin uses one for A-Rigs, he fishes loomis rods and still uses that rod instead, i guess he likes it.

It will cast a swimbait, and if you're ever attacked by a rabid Bigfoot you could probably successfully defend yourself with it too!  :eyebrows:

I use it and it will throw 1-6oz baits. Its rated up to 4 but you can go heavier. It gets the job done and doesn't break the bank. I wouldn't use it for anything other than swimbaits.

ohk thanks, thats why i got to not break the bank.  gander had them on sale one day while i was in there, i had to to get it.

haha that's was the second reason , definitely should need a license to carry

I use the SCIV version if that rod, and it's perfect for those baits.

I love that stick lol punch with it in a pinch too makes a good carolina rig rod and whatever else you might want lol like it with the A-rig too

thanks so its a good all around big heavy rod. for swimbaits, a rigs punching and maybe some frogging! 

 i was just worried about the fast tip action but with those heavy baits seems like you guys do fine with it.
