Super User deaknh03 Posted March 21, 2014 Super User Posted March 21, 2014 I see your team traded for Matt Schaub. Good deal, you should enjoy at least 5 more years of suck. I don't get why they won't let Pryor have the season to see what he can do, give him 16 games. You suck either way so why not? Quote

Nope we gotta pickup every freaking quarter back to come on the market. Maybe he will suprise us though. Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted March 21, 2014 Super User Posted March 21, 2014 I really don't think Schaub is all that bad of a quarterback. 1 Quote
Super User Teal Posted March 21, 2014 Super User Posted March 21, 2014 Schaub isn't horrible. In fact he had had some great year's and is pretty consistent. Eli Manning had a worse year in 2013 Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted March 21, 2014 Author Super User Posted March 21, 2014 Schaub is mediocre. At best. Quote
tipptruck1 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 There is this retired QB from Mississippi. He has some brain damage. Plus he is in pretty good shape for his age. He might win you a few more games. Quote

I'm actually excited about him coming. Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted March 22, 2014 Super User Posted March 22, 2014 Schaub is ten times the qb mcgloin and pryor are. Ad much as i like watching wade phillips fail, i felt awful for schaub last year. He completely lost all confidence and that scum home town crowd didnt help any. Schaub should do well with holmes, streeter, and moore. Rivera is a solid TE as well. The front office made the biggest mistake in years trading away rashad jennings and resigning dmc. That kid had so much talent even with an off line that could have been better off letting the bench wnba players play instead. Quote

Maybe he will suprise us though. Yes, keep playing Prior. Loved watching my Chiefs sack him all the way to a 3rd and 48 (if memory serves right)! In all seriousness, I don't understand why they don't develop him on the field. Even with a good QB the Raiders still have a few seasons of suck to get through before becoming a contender again. Instead of signing the trash other teams discard let Prior develop on the field. Quote
tipptruck1 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 How about this Raider? http://www.sportsworldreport.com/articles/28519/20140321/tim-tebow-rumors-cleveland-browns-chicago-bears-oakland-raiders-minnesota-vikings-jacksonville-jaguars-options-for-free-agent-qb.htm Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted March 22, 2014 Super User Posted March 22, 2014 Schaub is a serviceable QB and is better than anything the raiders have had for a while. And as far as scum bag fans go....didn't he throw a pick 6 in 4 straight games or something ridiculous?? Seems like a good reason to boo him to me 1 Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted March 22, 2014 Author Super User Posted March 22, 2014 Schaub, 10 years in the nfl. 1-1 playoff record. suck. choke. Whatever you wanna call it but its not good. Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted March 22, 2014 Super User Posted March 22, 2014 It wasn't like he was on great teams all 10 of his years. Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted March 22, 2014 Author Super User Posted March 22, 2014 It wasn't like he was on great teams all 10 of his years. He was on pretty darn good teams the last 4-5 years. He had a stud receiver, stud running back and above average defense. The only thing missing on that team was a good QB. Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted March 22, 2014 Super User Posted March 22, 2014 he was not on a good team last year Quote

The fans CHEERED when he left the game with an ankle injury...the "home town" texans crowd celebrated their own players injury...that was embarrassing and a F$#$ing joke. I don't care if he threw 10 straight pick 6's. Celebrating a player getting injured is scum. The raiders don't even take it that far. Quote

The only thing missing on that team was a good QB. Your math needs some help. A "pretty darn good" team makes the play-offs in those 4-5 years and the Texans went to te play-offs for the first time in 2011 and last year they were 2-11. Now I'm not saying he's an elite quarterback, but he's above average that has proven to get you to the tournament as the Tuna would say. Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted March 22, 2014 Author Super User Posted March 22, 2014 Schaub is adequate, but certainly not above average. I would place him in the bottom 3rd of the qbs in the nfl. Do you want him on your team? Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted March 22, 2014 Super User Posted March 22, 2014 It's not a matter of weather I want him, heck anyone would want a top rated quarterback, but if I need a quarterback and you have to make a choice based on what's available, I don't think the Raiders made a bad choice. Sanchez just got released from the Jets, so given a choice between Sanchez and Schaub, I take Schaub. I know Sanchez wasn't available for the Raiders at that point, but you get where I'm coming from. Lets see, a guy who took his team to 2 straight afc championship games, and played super playoff football, or a guy with superior weapons and cant even take his team to the playoffs, and when he does, it's not far. Give me Sanchez, he did more with less. Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted March 22, 2014 Super User Posted March 22, 2014 You can have him...he had 2 good seasons and should be in jail for robbery...he stole a lot of money from the Jets after those 2 seasons. Quote
