I just recently bought a Sun Dolphin Sportsman and I'm taking out this weekend. Do y'all have any tips or advice to give me that'll help me catch fish?

Mount the trolling motor to the bow and rig some sort of rudder to make it track straight.  It is easier to pull a chain than it is to push it.  Have an alternate source of propulsion ( oars or paddle) on board.  Be wary when you get into more open waters.  Even a 10 HP motor, coming from your rear quarter, or any blind spot, can create a wicked wake if you aren't ready for it.

is your question more along the lines about changing from being a shore angler to a boat angler?

if so what were ur preferred shore angler techniques/strengths?

If you need help with modifications to your boat hit me up on messenger or the on going pelican thread - I posted pictures of the many things I have done to my Sun Dolphin Sportsman.
