philsoreel Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Anyone in the Southeast have much luck with big topwater sticks like Cotton Cordell Pencil Poppers, Ima Big Stick, Paycheck Baits The One? Comments from other regions are welcome as well. Quote
WillieB Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 i know penicl poppers are a hot bait when the bass are busting herring, never used them but want to try this yr. They also use them on the savannah river alot for stripers Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted February 10, 2011 Super User Posted February 10, 2011 I've been curious about the Big Stick as well. Quote
gobig Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 I have not fished any of the baits you mentioned. However big top waters do catch fish all over the country. I realize I am in California and the first thing people think is well you have trout for forage. Though this is true, through the internet I have met several people through out the country who have successfully used these types of baits. With these types of baits you will catch fish of all sizes. My two favorites are the supper spook and the punker. Quote
