I have a box that is all square bills, and other shallow cranks that I'm pretty confident in.

But I'm afraid that if I really kept a "confidence box" I'd never try new things.

strike king 3xd, 5xd , yamamoto senko 5in any greenish color/pumpkin watermelon,  wacky rig hooks. If there are two thing I can catch fish on its a crankbait and a wacky rig.

Spinnerbait...covers every depth, changes speeds.  Does a little of everything....that gives me confidence.

I don't keep my confidence in a box or tied on a rod. Confidence is built through success. Success only comes with time on the water.

Posted

Mostly stick worms, trick worms, Recon worm, crankbaits, and some jigs. Also whatever terminal tackle is appropriate

You can call it what you want, mine is my little bag of essentials, which are baits that are tried true for my neck of the woods, taking into account the conditions and seasons. As far as baits, I carry: Frog, stickworms, fluke, spinnerbaits trickworm and centipedes. If I can't catch something with any of those baits its real baaaad day.

Gotta love Shallow - many a angler would be lost without it ... as I can clearly

attest;)

**** That Horrible Nightmare that wakes you up during the

middle of the night in a cold sweat. All you can remember

from the dream is that largemouth bass would never again

live in shallows, but had all permanently moved to 20 ft.

deep ledges...
