An AR bearing holds it without a pawl on just about EVERY other reel on the market, the past 20 years. Removing it can make the person that removed it think it works smoother.

Curado I ....it's really awesome so far

CuradoD or E or chronarch E that said if you are

On a tight budget then aG I guess it's solid most

Users say so... I don't like it or own one but it may work out for you.

G = clearance pricing, stupid easy braking system (set&forget)

I = retail, wide braking adjustment that can be finicky

I must have got a bad I then, because mine's not finicky at all.

SVS is when your changing lures with weight and profile differences. VBS is an easier system.

I've thrown from 1/4oz to 3/4oz with the Curado I and haven't needed to change the brakes, just a slight turn of the spool tension. It's as easy to use as any other system I've used.

While pitching a 5" senko into the wind... With serious gust to 25 mph I was still getting 60' Curado I is so far a amazing reel..initial setting 2 brakes on... Adjustment dial at 1 ... 3 maybe 4 loose coils... Bumped adjustment dial from 1 to 3 no more loose coils... It's a long distance caster too.... 3/4 oz on heavy 7'6" loomis I was able to get 200 feet over and over and over. It's casting ability competes head to head with my CTE200GT... So far.. I really love this reel. Center clutch is super nice... You get a lot of reel at 179.99

No bb flush either... I won't even bother till warranty expires. I will be looking for a lefty before long!

That the thing with Shimano, set it and forget it. If you are only using one rig for

everything, small adjustment may be needed, but for the most part, one and done!
