I don't play the lottery much at all, maybe 5-10 times a year and only spend maybe $5-$10 on each wage and have never won in my life.

Saturday I was doing some paper work and a number kept popping up so I decided to play a 3 number game. Not sure where you live, but here you can play a 3 number play on a 4 number game. I played first 3 exact order, first 3 any order, last 3 exact order and last 3 any order. Total ticket was $4. Well I finally won. It wasn't much, $75, but I was happy none the less.

The following Monday, I decided to try my luck 1 more time and played a different set of 3 numbers and played it the same way. Won again. Twice in a matter of days and I have never won a lottery game in my life.

Now I'm wondering if I should try my luck 1 more time...LOL

Anyway, has anyone ever get on a lucky streak like that?

No luck over here. We have a millionaire raffle twice a year in IL. They sell 500,000 tickets at 20 bucks a pop. There's 4 $1M prizes 10 $100k prizes and I think 100 $1000 prizes. That's the only game I play.

I worked with a 24 year old guy who plays $200-$300 a week on scratchers. He hit a million dollar winner on a $30 scratcher a number of years back. The only payout option was an annuity for 20 or 25 years @ $35k a year basically doubling his annual salary. He has blown every annuity check at the casino within a month or so of receiving it. I don't get it.

I'm not into the gambling thing, but my wife does it every now and then. We take $20 and throw it on scratchers. Anything she wins get thrown at more lotto.

I know what you mean, I worked at a gas station part time to help Santa Claus one year and I would get peeps just burning their pay checks on scratch tix. I actually had 1 sale where the guy bought a whole book. Must have took a day to scratch. I don't do the scratch tix, I can see a huge problem with those.  :cry4:

Gotta do something with his time. Might as well operate a crane.

I'd rather be operating a new boat to pass my time!

If I won big, I'd do something, but I don't think it would back in construction.

I honestly believe I would keep right on doing what I am now. I would take time off between jobs, but I would carry right along.

Id find enough to do with my free time not working. It might be "work" but not in the sense of earn a paycheck.

Id probably start a habitat company and buy all the machines a guy could ever want to make habitat. It would go along with 1 sq mile of the best that montana had to offer, id probably have one more mile of it in iowa. Id spend spring-fall on those properties and my winter on a lake like okeechobee just fishn all day. Prob would lose the wife in all this, rather than find another id just hire 25 year old porn stars like charlie sheen... WINNING

I like the way you think lol. Montana has a ton of coyotes to my favorite animal to hunt.

I don't play, except for the very rare $1 scratch tickets. Me and my wife do this for fun just as a treat, maybe every three years at most.

My brother is becoming a common sight at some of the places that have slot machines. He sits and studies people playing them and then picks certain machines based on their luck. It's always the ones that haven't paid anyone whose played them. He regularly wins $500 to $1000 at a time, several times a year. Of course he'll lose some too, but nowhere near what he's won. I don't get into it at all though. Seems more trouble than it's worth to me.

But if I ever did play something big enough to win big, and I did hit it, I know I'd never work again other than on just what I wanted to. I enjoy my work, but not every aspect of it and not the amount of time it takes. I don't enjoy it enough to maintain it steady if I didn't have to.

I have no problems with a friendly poker game amongst friends and family, but the whole notion of giving taxed money back to the peeps who taxed me in the first place kinda goes up my @$$. :Idontknow:
