Daniel My Brother Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Heading down to Hunstville this Sunday to visit an old friend. We plan to fish Guntersville on Sunday and Monday, but we're going into this blind. Any advice from where to launch, to finding fish, to lure selection is appreciated. Thank you! DMB Quote
MemphisFF Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Watch the bassmaster classic I heard many places and creek areas where the pros were I would try to do what they were doing, I may be off though.. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted March 19, 2014 Super User Posted March 19, 2014 The last time I was there we put in at the State Park Lodge and fished back into the cove. A tributary comes into the cove and you will see a bridge. The rips rap was red hot and I snagged this young later on the otherside off the wooden dock. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/lake-guntersville-2012.html Fish the rip rap inside and out, but be careful around the bridge, you might get your arm broken! Super User slonezp Posted March 19, 2014 Super User Posted March 19, 2014 I talked to a buddy today that was there for a big tournament last week. Rattletraps and A Rigs were the go to baits. I haven't been there in a couple years. there are quite a few public ramps Quote
Gotfishyfingers? Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 The Bassmaster classic was just there. Check out what they were throwing and where they were at. Quote
Crappiebasser Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 I usually launch at Scottsboro Municipal and fish the upper end of the lake. We did pretty good in goose pond last week on gold traps and black jigs. The fish we caught were staging on points leading to spawning pockets. All were less than 10 FOW. Quote
Daniel My Brother Posted March 20, 2014 Author Posted March 20, 2014 Thanks for the info Crappiebasser. Quote
