chromedog Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Looking to add a few quality buzz baits to my arsenal. Do we have a sponsor here that makes some that someone can vouch for or does someone have a suggestion on places to order some good buzz baits? Thanks. Quote
ripinthem Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Check out the Cavitron. Should be able to find it, above. Gets good reviews on this site. Quote
chromedog Posted February 8, 2011 Author Posted February 8, 2011 Does anyone have the link, I must be missing it up top? Quote

chromedog Posted February 8, 2011 Author Posted February 8, 2011 Ok, on to part two of my search, lol. I haven't used buzzbaits a whole lot, can someone guide me in what weights and colors I should be looking at? What is the total length of a Cavitron buzzbait? Quote
chromedog Posted February 8, 2011 Author Posted February 8, 2011 Nice RW, I was just asking that question! Quote
Bobby Uhrig Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Video of Cavitron Buzzbait The size and color used is chosen by the conditions you are fishing.- Windy //muddy or choppy water and real aggressive fish-- the 3/8 oz is hard to beat. When the water is clear to stained and there is little to no wind or chop-I use the 1/4 oz When the bass are not really aggressive -the water is like a sheet of glass it is really hard to beat the 1/8 oz. That little bait has a 4/0 Gamy hook on it.It has produced numbers as well as giants for me and other fishermen when other baits just wouldn't get a strike. Match your cavitrons to you equipment also- The cavitrons can be used with both bait caster and spinning rods. The line size I use is 14lb test.It seems to be a very universal line size. I have used as high as 20 lb test at times. I am not a real fan of braid with buzz baits. I set the hook and got tired of coming back with nothing but lips. LOL Quote
chromedog Posted February 8, 2011 Author Posted February 8, 2011 Excellent, thanks for the info. Can you give me a length for each weight? Just thinking about storage/transportation. Quote
bwell Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Cavitron is the only buzzbait I will use anymore... After using one you will find that all the others are a waste of money... Quote
chromedog Posted February 8, 2011 Author Posted February 8, 2011 Thanks guys. I ordered a couple of the black on black in different weights, as well as a couple of the gold and ghost minnow. Quote

Avalonjohn44 Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Agree with just about everyone that the Cavitron is a monster bait. If I am not throwing a Cavi, I throw a Booyah with the clacker. Sometimes they want it really noisy... Quote
Bobby Uhrig Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 HMMM 1/2 oz I can have that in a month or so. Quote
