BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted April 4, 2014 Author BassResource.com Advertiser Posted April 4, 2014 Is this tournament rules? No trolling, no live bait? As long as you follow the 7 rules you can use any bait you want unless of course I happen to be in a pissy mood that day and invoke rule #6 in which case you're screwed anyway so go ahead and troll with live bait if you want. The above sentence structure may only be funny to those who subscribe to Mental Floss or vlogbrothers, which sadly most of you don't. Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted April 4, 2014 Super User Posted April 4, 2014 I thought way back when the rules excluded live bait. Has that changed Lee? Quote

Sadly that will never happen. Quote

Sorry guys,I guess my sarcasm was not obvious enough. It's been a long day. If you follow the 7 rules, you cannot, by definition, use live bait. (see rule #4) So to be clear, who ever CWB is referring to is cheating and should be sacked. my mistake if I confused anyone. Quote

BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted April 4, 2014 Author BassResource.com Advertiser Posted April 4, 2014 It looks like you southern boys are going to get a head start. Yea, but it's been a warm winter and our spawn is almost over. Quote
Super User RoLo Posted April 4, 2014 Super User Posted April 4, 2014 Yea, but it's been a warm winter and our spawn is almost over. Good going Lee, I'm glad you didn't spill the beans about Florida's post-spawn trophy bonanza Roger Quote
Super User Shane J Posted April 4, 2014 Super User Posted April 4, 2014 Let the Florida folks set the bar, then the Northern folk can raise it in a month! At least, that's my plan! 1 Quote
Crookedneck Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 I'm in. Hopefully, the ice is gone by June. Quote
BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted April 5, 2014 Author BassResource.com Advertiser Posted April 5, 2014 The boat is hooked and ready. Nicole and I are going to Southport in the morning. It's time for a Toho pig to get on the board. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted April 5, 2014 Super User Posted April 5, 2014 You go, Florida! This is where the Northern guys have a shot. The contest runs right through our pre-spawn fish, where the right person, at the right time, can catch the biggest fish we have to offer for the year. Count on one of my Northern brethren to catch a slobette for the board within the next few weeks. It might just be me!! Quote

Last year I wasn't able to break 7 lb mark for this contest. Hopefully that will change this year. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted April 5, 2014 Super User Posted April 5, 2014 You are right about that, Mainebass. It took me my NH PB a couple years ago to beat him. This year, I plan on doing it again. Quote
