I've seen it done offshore quite a few times, don't see why it can't be done for bass fishing.  Have seen on TV skidoos rigged for ice fishing, electronics, augers, rod holders, the whole shebang, I'll pass on that one.

Anything is possible, but the question is would you WANT to fish off a jet ski? I've only been on them a few times, but they aren't overly stable when they aren't under power, they have very little storage, movement is restricted, the jet on them have a tendency to clog fairly easily with mud, sand and grass. Like I said I'm sure you can, but I think most other platforms are a better option.

From what I've heard, Fishing from a Jet ski is at it's very best Right at the leading edge of a large Water Fall and right in front on the largest dams & spillways Just as the Horn sounds - it calls in the Big Ones . . . . .

I love Jet ski's, Really.

There's a local that does it all the time on the bay here. He's even got a couple of nice rod holders and a graph.

Normally, I'd like to sink any jet ski within five miles of me, but this guy is pretty cool. He's having fun and catching fish.

One of the most unusual things I have seen was a man that made a boat out of an old pick up bed.  Made it water tight, put a seat in it, rod holders and outboard.  He'd go out of the inlet, which is very rough, venture out in the ocean, saw him maybe 20 times.  Haven't seen him in a few years, maybe the " boat" didn't make it.

Snook, you should have been compelled to get a picture of that!

Wouldn't have been a bad idea.  Even if the ocean is fairly flat the inlet can be very choppy with a strong undertow. Many small boats venture out and I think they're nutz, hardly ever see any one wear a pfd, I've never worn one myself.

I see some crazy stuff on Lake Ontario as well. One dude was going out in an inflatable raft - more like a pool toy than a fishing vessel, lol. I asked him if he could swim, of course not. Loaned him an extra PFD, and told him just to hang it on the fence by the launch when he was done. It was there in the evening, so I assume he made it home alive.

The gf wants jet skis...may be my only option

When I was younger my grandmas neighbor would wake up early in the morning and go out on a jetski and fish.

I did it once as a teenager. My friend had jet ski and we had the genius idea to go fishing from it...

So he drove and I hung on for dear life with one hand while holding the poles with the other. Then we stop, and it turns out we WAY overestimated the amount of space we would have to cast. It was a disaster.

We tried for maybe 20 minutes before we were ready to admit to each other that we were complete idiots for ever thinking that 2 people fishing from 1 jet ski would have any chance of working out well.
