Have a reel with clear line, think it's 10 or 12 #. What I want to figure out is if it's FC or mono. Lol anyone know something I can do to it to figure it out.

put it in the water. mono floats

Be sure to break the waters buoyancy. Otherwise a small piece of fluoro will also float!
