Looks like that weekend is open for me.  Would love to meet up.  I'll be fishing one way or another.....If not on the rez that weekend, I'll put the kayak in on Occoquan River and see if the shad have run up yet

BTW, the Capital Weather Gang just emailed me: "We declare winter over and spring here, effective today"

:)

Like the contents of a YooHoo bottle..

I haven't seen the rez yet, but I drive across the O River a dozen times a week and I think about your comment every single time...still cracks me up....and still accurate as far as the river is concerned.

I know full well that the tidal Potomac and the Occoquan rez are two entirely different animals, but.....the air temps are the same and the weather is comparable.....but I'll tell you that the Potomac bass are moving up and are hungry

I fully intend to.  I have a lot of irons in the fire at the moment, but I'm doing everything I can to keep that day open.  Looking forward to it.

Fished the res on Sunday. Uplake wasn't bad, not nearly as bad as the weekend before!! I didn't catch, missed a couple bites, not sure if they were bass or ring perch. Buddy caught a couple. Have another friend out today that caught 1 last time I checked with him!! Should be good by the weekend and the weekend we have planned!!

Potomac above WW bridge was 1-1.5' of visibility last Saturday.

I was out today from 8-2. I went downlake just passed Sandy Run, water was super dirty, 3 inches of visibility max...Fished deep, shallow, points, bluffs, flats, you name it. Water temps ranged from 50-55 throughout the day. Decided to run up a little and fish some mid lake stuff and see what that water was looking like. A little cleaner mid lake still no bites. I saw another guy snag a catfish, that was the only action I saw all day. The new boat runs well though and  I can't wait to fish these tourneys. See you guys out there Sunday!

Spent about 6 hours out today, all between Fountainhead and the Fingers. Water is murky, but not brown now. I caught only one bass, just shy of 3. My wife caught two, but they were good fish 4 and 6.1.

I've been really looking forward to it, Sonny.  I was told yesterday, however, that there is some risk of having to be out of town that weekend....I'll let you know as things firm up.

BTW, the surface temps on Saturday were already 56 degrees.

Both Tami's fish were caught on white/blue chatterbait with white Rage Tail Structure Bugs, thanks in large part to @roadwarrior, both for the suggestion and the generous, spontaneous shipment of packs he sent me last year.
