I plan on going next weekend and was wondering if anyone had been out recently.

First tournament yesterday for FHBC. 21lbs first, 18lbs second, 14lbs third. 6.4lb big fish. 30 boats, a little more than half the field weighed fish. Still very unfavorable water temps 40-45 and slightly stained to heavily stained water. Thought my partner and I were goin to crush them after a keeper in my second cast! Two fish in the boat and 5 bites in the first 30 minutes and then it just all went away. Lost what felt like a good fish on a JB.

Cover water and keep on changing until you find what they want!

Nice work J! You need to be consistant like that all year! Jim should help you a lot this year!!

Yeah no doubt Jim and I should be a good team.  We are both spring and fall fisherman.  We are going to really have to put in work in the dog days of summer but I think we can figure it out.  It has taken me four years of fishing the club but I think we have a chance of turning a couple of heads this year.  Without the right motor and electronics we are really at a huge disadvantage.  I swear it takes away anywhere from 1-2 hours of fishing time from us each tournament.  But we love the challenge and thats why we all do it.  We will see how consistant I can be now that I have a consistant partner this year. Jim is awesome and I think we are going to get-r-done.

havent been on since late fall, but itching to go fishing soon.  Those who have fished the tourny or been on the Res. the last week or so, where have you marked fish?  What kind of pattern were they holding in?

How can I get in on these tounraments?

Find a boat and a partner then go to fountainhead bass club .com. All the info you need should be posted there.

Youtube has some awesome videos on how to make one out of a standard cooler and that's what most people use in the club.

Thanks Big, it's really hit and miss right now for a lot of people, best advice I can give you is learn to use your graph and it's never too deep in the winter and summer, and in the spring and fall, it's always a little deeper than you think (when looking at shallow water). J, I only found about 45* like others said, not sure we will get a whole lot warmer by Sunday!
