Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 17, 2014 Global Moderator Posted March 17, 2014 All our Wal Marts ever do is take $.50 off the price of anything. I'm always checking for these big sales but they never seem to happen then all the sales stuff is just gone one day. I'm assuming shipped to another store where the stuff is selling. Quote
TorqueConverter Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 Almost all of my DTs have come from Walmart. My local Walmart throws them into a clearance bin regularly at around $5 a piece. It's as if they order new Rapalas regularly only to discover old stock on the shelves, mark it down and drop the old stock it into the sales bin. You'd think they'd figure it out that they have a Cabelas and Bass Pro within the same metropolitan erea. Quote

I feel you pain man. I have 2 walmarts that are in my city and neither mark anything down seems like. The .50 cent mark is as low as they will go as well. Quote
flippin and pitchin Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 Trying to find decent lures at Walmart is like trying to buy running shoes at Petco. 2 Quote
ksboy Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 I was in Cabela's in Wichita yesterday and found a "clearance" section. Never saw it before but they had some DT14s and a bunch of other stuff with some pretty nice prices. I fought the bait monkey off though. They aso had some rods (Cabela's brand) regular $65 for $35. 1 Quote

Trying to find decent lures at Walmart is like trying to buy running shoes at Petco. youre just wrong. walmart has a decent selection of lures since theyve redone the fishing section a couple years ago. they dont have the selection of the big outdoors stores like a BPS, but they have some quality brand stuff... Delaware Valley Tackle Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 I notice a wide variance between stores. It seems like the local market determines what/how much they stock. I scour the $1 bins for plastics and such. I find a deal occasionally. Quote
ak47soulja22 Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 In the strike king worms try (if they have them) the white/blue colored stick bait. I think it's called shad color. 1 Quote

livetofish28 Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 My local walmart sometimes has awesome sales like trilene 100% fluoro for 3 bucks or mustad/owner screw lock hooks for a dollar a pack just saying I bout them out lol Tight lines Andrew Quote
RAMBLER Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 I was in a Wal-Mart, (not my local but within 35 miles) a couple of weeks ago. They had several tables of "stuff" on sale. There were two plastic boxes of lures marked down to .50. Not marked down 50 cents but actually priced at 50 cents. I grabbed a couple of Strike King spinner baits and a couple of other plugs. There was no limit on how much you could buy. I saw one guys cart with the bottom completely covered. Let's face it, at those prices, if you had a tackle shop, you could buy the stuff cheaper there than you could from your wholesaler. Those boxes emptied out that day. A fishing buddy went over there the next morning and there was no tackle on sale. Quote

Super User Bankbeater Posted March 18, 2014 Super User Posted March 18, 2014 Couple of years ago my local Walmart had Cordell Super Spots on sale for $1.50. Bought four of them in chrome with blue backs. Three of them are still unopened. Quote
