What do you guys think is a good monofilament line for crankbaits.(shallow-medium divers)

seaguar senshi or sunline super natural, both are cheap and really good, for the depths you are targeting 12-15 pound test should be good.

Original Stren, lo vis green for clear or clear blue fluorescent for stained and muddy. I go with 10 pound for deep cranking, shallow cranks and heavy cover could call for as heavy as 17.

I don't believe there is a wrong answer to this question.  Use whatever line takes your fancy.  I seriously doubt any fish can tell the difference.  :teeth:

Berkley Big Game, Stren High Impact, or Mustad Ultra Line. All available in bulk for cheap so I can change it anytime I feel the need to and not feel bad about it. A local camping store here has the Mustad line in something like a 6,000 yard spool of 10lb for $10  :respect-059:  I've got at least half a dozen spools of it squirreled away in my garage.

I crank with lots of line.  Fluorocarbon, mono and braid.  It's a bit of myth that you NEED mono and its elasticity for cranking IMO.  My favorite mono when shallow and medium cranking is Sufix Elite #12.  If I require a high elasticity mono because my rod is too stiff, I like a #10 or #12 Berkley XL for the additional give.

A great cranking rod hooks and hold the fish the same, no matter what the line material.  The elasticity of a highly elastic mono helps to make a bad situation of a stiff rod better with the elastic properties of the line.
