I haven't used that particular model but bought there Pro Control mounting bracket a couple of years back and it was utter garbage!!!!  It was nearly $100 and the clamp screws all stripped first time putting it on, the trolling motor would slip around on the plastic mounting part, and it fell into the water several times as well as came loose trailering down I-40.  Luckily I never lost the trolling motor before I came home and threw it in the trash.  I should have sent it back for a refund but didn't want to even mess with it after that.

Just glancing through the features, it offers 180 degrees of steering control.  Is that enough?  Maybe if your trolling motor has a reverse on it, then it might be.  I don't know.  I know one of the advantages of a foot control is that if you get in a position where you've got to back up, you can.  You don't have to reach down and switch the motor to reverse.

I can see where that product might solve your problem on a small job boat.  On any kind of a vessel, 18' or longer, my guess would be that a 24 volt foot control trolling motor would work better.

I've got a small Pond Prowler 8' .  Been looking at the big foot switch, but all it does is turn the motor on and off.  Thought maybe this would be a way to solve not having to buy a foot control trolling motor.  The motor I have now is 40lb and only 2 years old, I just cant justify buying a new motor but would love to have some hands free control.

It's a cool concept, but it's got a pretty poor rating on Bass Pro.
