long island basser Posted March 26, 2014 Author Posted March 26, 2014 Welcome. I'm not to far away. How's the fishing there? ever been to CT to fish? the fishing is very good on the right lake. There are a lot of lakes on LI, a good number are shallow and weedy.... most of them are under 100 acres. No I have never fished in CT. Quote

Super User Felix77 Posted December 17, 2014 Super User Posted December 17, 2014 Welcome ... you have to be excited about the Bass Pro and Cabelas opening up down there on the western side of the island. Will certainly be going to visit the shops as a part of my trips to visit my family. Quote
long island basser Posted January 1, 2015 Author Posted January 1, 2015 welcome! my wife's grandmother lives in queens and i want to hit some of those small lakes and ponds i see up there every time we go to visit.[/quoteI don't fish in any of the city lakes, no boats allowed, I stay out in Suffolk county, where on days there is no one on the lake but me, which is great. If you come up check out the ny dec website for info. They have some special regulations over there ( no lead weights, barbless hooks ect). Quote

Will certainly be going to visit the shops as a part of my trips to visit my family. I hear it's still 2 or 3 years away, and may not be 100 percent definite. I hope it happens because the closest to me are about 3 hours plus drive, that I don't do. Quote
