I just recently purchased a  used Skeeter 20 I, which I love.  However, I want to upgrade the Lowrance factory installed electronics and was wondering if there is a particular place online to get the best deal on it!  I have been researching but I want to be sure I am purchasing from a reputable source.  Any advice is greatly appreciated.

You have some options.

First, if you have someone to take out the old unit and install the new one, along with any upgrades to your antenna or transponder plus properly install the wiring and fuse connections then you can go on-line or to a retailer that sells the units.

Second, you can go to eBay and take your chances with a used unit, however I don't suggest this.

Third, if you cannot take out the existing unit and properly install the new unit then ask the retailer for the names of the guys who do the installation for you and get some prices quoted.

If you have someone to install the new unit or hire an individual you can sit in a lawn chair and pass a good time with some wonderful boiled crawfish, potato's and onions and drink some good ole fashion Barq's or Abita Purple Haze and watch reruns of the LSU football games or the LSU baseball games live on the radio.

(We have a Lowrance dealer in Virginia that will not only sell and install your new unit but if there is a problem he will switch out the units for you so you don't have the hassle Lowrance and their poor service. I think the Lowrance people are Toolame grads.)
