BigMoneyGrip Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 What is the word on the new mega stick? They were coming out with a new one that had a more durable egg sack for wacky rigging. I haven't seen anything and was just wondering. Thanks, Scott. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted March 14, 2014 Super User Posted March 14, 2014 New bait I have not yet fished: http://www.megastrikefishingproducts.com/shop/mega-stick-soft-plastic/ Quote
senko_77 Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 I don't have the answer to your question, but PM Bobby Uhrig. He is the owner of Megastrike and an active member here on the forum. I'm sure he will be happy to answer your megastick question. Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted March 14, 2014 Super User Posted March 14, 2014 Saw Bobby at the Suffern Show and asked him about those new baits. They are called the "Flick Stick". He had some on the display table but did not have them on sale yet. I was anxious to buy a few at the show as well. He said that he is finally settled from all the trade show runs and they should be producing them soon. I'm sure he will be on shortly to give us an update. Below is the vid he did at one of shows this year. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/megastrike-flick-stick.html Quote
BigMoneyGrip Posted March 14, 2014 Author Posted March 14, 2014 OK, maybe he'll show up and give us an update. I'm ready to try some. Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted March 14, 2014 Super User Posted March 14, 2014 The video does sound pretty convincing for sure. However, one observation. In seasons past, I've attempted to to use stick baits with the "hot" tails. Has actually had an adverse take ratio on my fishing. Now, that "may" be because the hot section was at the tail, instead of the center....I don't know. But as soon as I'd switch back to a solid watermelon or green pumpkin color, I'd get hit. Maybe in stained waters the addition of a contrasting color may be a plus. All I'm saying is that I'm just not seeing it, when used in deeper, clear water. Sometimes, "less is more". Quote
