i can get a great deal on a powell endurance 705CB its rated 3/8 - 1oz 

would this rod be good for traps, zara spook jrs, squarebills, 6-18 feet deep? 

im looking for an all around treble hook rod.

I've never actually fished that exact rod but I'm sure it would I have the 684 and 706 max line and they both r great for those I do have the 725 cb endurance.. Not sure on the spook jrs but regular spooks traps squarebills and crank baits should handle them nicely

Yeah it would. I have the endurance 695cb and its what I use for squarebills, and traps. On occasion I will use it for some medium divers like the Dt 10 and Little John MD. Its a good rod for cranks around cover. Good strong back bone.

I have the same rod and it's awesome! The build quality of these rods is impressive.

Would the 724 be better? I'm just looking for an "all around" cranking rod. I don't want the 705 to be too powerful for some medium divers. I do prefer the 7' vs the 7'2 though.
