Just read an article on CNN, authorities believe the plane is in the Indian Ocean.  They have data confirming that the plane changed course away from China.  They do not know the reason why the plane went down, who or what is responsible.

UFO got it.

Get it right...It was a USO!!

Honestly tho my first thought as soon as I heard about the stolen passports was the plane was hijacked and taken somewhere... although if it did happen Im wondering why military radar didnt pick it up flying where it shouldnt have been.

Can't wait until they find it so the speculating, rumors, and gossiping can stop.  I hate that crap.

I know thats right!!!

I have not watched it or read anything on the "story" on purpose until last night...... after 5 minutes, I wished I would have continued not to know anything about the story.

In news, papers, all trying to out best the last story. it is quite maddening to say the least.

Cnn carried a story this morning that someone with the US said that the plane had enough fuel to get to Pakistan.

I can agree with everyone, except for the data that was transmitted for hours after the transponder feel silent.for whatever reason. Also someone is now contacting relatives who said they called and the phone rang.At first they were dismissed because no one believed for a moment that the plane had done anything other than crash.BUT since the data transmisson was confirmed someone is now following up with the relatives who said the calls went thru.

edit add on: just read that the transponder and communiction were not turned off all at once but were turned off one after the other..so in the event of a complete failure all would have shut down at once.Someone involved in trying to solve this commented that for them to be shut off in this manner means its was deliberate.

This has turned into a real mystery apparently.  I'm really curious to see how it will play out.

Hopefully the scrappers didn't get ahold of it with sawzalls. I bet aircraft aluminum gets a pretty penny.

Aircraft aluminum is 60-61 aluminum, commonly used in wide variety applications.  Marine, auto, structural extrusions, worth about 60 cents a pound in scrap depending on geographic location.

CNN just had an update. It sounds like US officals say the last ' pings ' they got from the plane were consistent with a 'landed' plane..So now it looks like there is much more to this than they thought.

I wonder just how much black bag work the US is involved in trying to find this plane.Considering the US would be the likely target if it is to be used for a dark unknow reason..

now they are saying the plane dropped below 5 thousand feet and was flown at that height ( now they dont say how they know this ) and thats when it disappeared from radar tracking..

Im sure its some of our monitoring equipment...we will never know

No reason for that if your going to crash the plane.that plane is somewhere on the d**n ground.Far too much effort to conceal where the plane was headed. I hope all the passengers are alive for their faimlys sake.BUT if it is being repurposed for something anyone who went to all this trouble wont let any witness live.Thats horrible.
