Looking for a new backpack for my fishing gear. I have several plano boxes, tackle systems but really like the backback for my shore based activities...

What's everyone use?

Cabelas Pro Angler looks pretty good. TW also carries one...

I read the TT review of the Lowpro Dryzone Rover but seems more towards photography than fishing.

Thanks! :)

I use an Ogio backpack my dad got free at a Nascar race he had to cover. I just looked online and it's an $80 backpack! Jeez, I didn't know it was that nice. Anyway, I like it. It has a lot of compartments for extra stuff too.

Cabelas Pro Series Angler pack is what I use, and it serves me well. I got it on sale last year for $49.95, if you want to wait until fall then Cabelas usually have them on sale.

I like that cableas has the storm pocket for your cellphone & camera.

Anyone use the Deluxe model?

I've had BPS XPS Stalker for 2 years. It has served me well. The 2011 model has evolved with some great features. Mine is loaded up and it is very comfortable with both shoulder straps. I can't imagine carrying anything else to be honest.

what great new features are on the new xps stalker? I hate the new color scheme, I wish that I bought one when they were still gray.

I have the khaki version from the year before the gray. The rain cover is built in (mine is separate), water bottle holder (mine doesn't have one), and ext tool storage (again, mine doesn't have this). The blue isn't that bad. If you don't like the color, just wait a year...BPS will change it.

I have lugged my WFO backpack just about everywhere from canals to the everglades trips to county parks and beach trips and LOVE IT, tried all the impostors with the cheap zippers and materials from Browning to BPS models and they could not hold up! You won't be disappointed!

I've used my XPS Stalker bag all over the place down here. Taken it all over the Bahamas while walking the beaches surf fishing as well. It's certainly a larger bag. If you fill it up all the way, it isn't the lightest thing in the world.

The bag that South FLA posted really looks interesting also. I may look into one of those myself.

So I was looking at the new BP XPS Stalker tackle backpack and decided that the blue and orange colors make my eyes bleed.

But then i noticed the colors from the old one, ash gray and red (hot)

So i was thinking, how would one go about changing the color of the new XPS stalker? Spray Paint? Cover it with patches? I mean I'de love to have it its just ...man its ugly.

I looked at that at the store and it IS very big!

As a co-angler I wanted something a little smaller but still hold everything.

I ordered the front loader one, but its on back order.

My nephew just returned from there. Godspeed and best of luck on the water.

I really thinking about the cabelas Deluxe Angler however in my local adventures I may find a better choice.
