Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted March 13, 2014 Super User Posted March 13, 2014 So I'm shopping around for a used glass boat. Did a quick search and couldn't find much about that model on BR. Speed had a thread a while back, but not much info in it. One I stumbled on: 2001. Mechanically sound, 90 horse Merc (max for the hull), Minnkota 70lb, blue water LEDs. Needs the seats redone. Also would nee to purchase a cover. Price is at best offer. Nada has it at 6300 bucks roughly. Question is, any of you fished from one? From what I've gathered, it's a comfortable "small" bass rig. Though in reality, that's all I really need. I'm not planning on fishing any tournies or anything like that. Mostly going to be tooling around in the Glades and Loxahatchee down here. Would make the occasional run to Okeechobee, but not really go offshore. Just looking for a little info from you all on it, if there's any to be found here. Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted March 13, 2014 Super User Posted March 13, 2014 Never ridden in one, but had a buddy who had one. Said for a 16' glass boat it was decent, but he ALWAYS complained about the storage. Jeff Quote

I haven't fished out of a R61 before, but I have an older 320V which is also a 16 footer and I can't say enough good things about the Ranger hulls. They're very solid and very stable little boats and from the sounds of it, it'll fit your needs pretty well. Quote
