I've been thinking about buying a better pair of (bass) fishing sunglasses.

From what I read on here, I guess

sunny conditions => green mirror or gray

low light => amber.

Are blue lenses good for offshore use only?

I'm curious, too. I'm hoping to buy a pair in the next couple weeks, but the more I look into getting a pair, the more unsure I am about what type of lenses would be best for me. Kind of need an all around pair.

I'm in the same boat. I have an old beat up pair of Oakley Half Jackets that I'm going to either buy another set of lenses for or just buy a new pair of Wiley-X but I don't know what color I should get.

My nephew bought me a $20 pair of Strike King Ice glasses for Christmas. I'm very surprised at how good the polarization is in them.

You will need to go and try the different lenses. Everyone's eyes are different with the different lens colors.

Best lenses for my eyes:

1. Sunrise/Yellow (Best for overcast and dawn/dusk)

2.Cooper or Amber (What I use 80% of time)

3. Gray (Driving or bright sunny days)

Mirror tints are great for white out conditions or blue bird skies in deep water salt or fresh,but I try to stay home if that is a choice.

Kind of hard to do when each set of lenses run $40-60 (Oakley) :)

I use the blue mirror lens in freshwater and bright sunny days works for me. I also have a pair of amber for low light and mossy for sight fishing all are Solar Bats with the foam inserts.
