Roboworms

I picked up some roboworms today. Never fished em but I've heard they are good.

What do you hook em with (set up) / what is the best way to fish them?

Alot of people use them in a drop shot or Shakey head.

As stated above drop shot and shakey head for sure. Did you by something like the 4 or 6 inch straight tail worm? I like the straight tail worms, fx sculpin, and alive shad on a drop shot. The fat straightail is a good bait for a shakey head as is the zipper grub.

Easily a top 3 finesse bait for me no doubt.

They can be dynamite on a TX rig, too.  I fish them a LOT on Southern, clearwater lakes that way.  1/8 or 3/16 bullet weight and a 1/0 straight shank.

i don't buy into the stock. they tear apart like tissue paper and i've caught just as many fish on zoom finesse worms

I use them for split shot, I have other baits I prefer for drop shotting.

If I can't catch anything on a straight tail or alive shad, the fish arnt there. T or C rigged, shakey, and split or drop shot is how I fish them.

All of their colors look amazing too but I always go for Aarons magic or bluegill.

They don't work. Not on a mojo rig, or a drop shot, or a shakey head for that matter. Just don't do it.

They're ideal on a dropshot, but I've also had good results with them on light carolina-style rigs, like split-shot and mojo.

I really only have 4 (maybe 4.5)in worms that I use for DS and shakey heads. I don't throw a lot of splitshot rigs but I imagine they would work will there too.

Try them on a jika rig. You won't be sorry but WARNING you may have sore arms!!!

Primarily on a drop shot. Also work great Texas rigged, Carolina rigged, wacky...

I use them for drop shotting and also split shot/mojo rig type applications. The 6" fat model is great for throwing weightless on 8 pound test line on spinning gear and fished like a fluke or senko.

I am baffled by the amount of negative responses on roboworms. Not saying anything is wrong with having that opinion, I just have had so much success on the 6 inch straight tail that it's hard for me to fathom so much dislike for these lol. However, one thing negative about them that is absolute truth is they tear up easily. I don't mind that because I catch fish with them and they are a true floating worm. I fish them primarily on a shaky head since I don't drop shot hardly, and I do pretty well. I like to use the shaky heads that have the weight not fixed to the hook, That way you get more action out of your worm. After you catch a fish you will probably have to put a drop of super glue on the head of the worm to keep it up on the keeper, and if it tears up, put it aside for when the fishing gets tough and you need a smaller presentation. Just rip the torn piece of worm off, and now you have a 3-4 inch worm. So I get multiple uses out of them. My absolute favorite color is ehlers edge. Its like a watermelon seed and a blue bottom and tail. To me, I think it looks a lot like a baby bluegill in the water. Btw, I'm not sponsored in any way by roboworm, just a weekend warrior who thinks they deserve some credit.

I like to drop shot them. Natural colors for me. I fish clearer lakes though
