i was recently challenged by another member to fish with crankbaits, ive been catching fish on them but always notcue that the rear hook doesnt get em its always the front...my question is if this is a sing of wheather or not the fish are feeding or want to eat that kind of prey or not or is it simply that the fish was hitting the lure as it came at it,etc.....an answers would be appriated

I believe that catching on the front hook means that the fish are hitting it more aggressively (for whatever reason) than if you're catching them on the rear hook.

I've been told that if a fish is hooked on the front of your crank it hit it from the side and was more likely a reaction strike. If it was hooked on the back then it had followed your bait before hitting it from behind. Kinda makes sense but could be nothing...
