Super User Jeff H Posted March 9, 2014 Super User Posted March 9, 2014 I'm looking for suspending jerks that run no deeper than 3'. What I've found so far are the Lucky Craft Flash Minnow and Jackall Squad Minnow. Any others you know of that run shallow and suspend throw them up here for me and I'll check 'em out. Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted March 9, 2014 Super User Posted March 9, 2014 Thinking a little out side the box ~ Rapala Sub Walk - A real sleeper of a bait. It's gets very little fan fare but is one of my most productive baits - especially on brown bass. A-Jay 1 Quote

Super User smalljaw67 Posted March 9, 2014 Super User Posted March 9, 2014 Yo-Zuri 3DB Jerkbait, they also make the 3DBminow which is not a suspending lure but the jerkbait is and it runs 1' to 3' max. I also know the Yo-Zuri Jerk-O ran exactly at 3' on 8lb line and about 2.5' on 10lb but they are discontinued but you can still get some on ebay, they didn't sell too well but I loved the action which was basically dart left and dart right and stop dead. 1 Quote

Super User tomustang Posted March 9, 2014 Super User Posted March 9, 2014 Throw heavier line on 3-5ft suspension jerkbaits, it opens your options. Pop your line up to keep the bait higher. 1 Quote

shootermcbob Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 I second the damiki slim jack suggestion. From Damiki website: The Slim Jack, when used as a jerk bait, it is a minnow on adrenaline. The action is as unique as it gets! The Slim Jack will cover 8 to 16 inches in depth and has a very slow rising action while paused I have had some success "walking the dog" action with this lure, while it stays roughly a foot below the surface. Super User A-Jay Posted March 11, 2014 Super User Posted March 11, 2014 Lucky Craft makes an entire line of Pointer Jerk Baits that run very shallow Look for the designator of "SR" or "SSR" at the end of the model number Check the links below. Super User Munkin Posted March 11, 2014 Super User Posted March 11, 2014 Throw heavier line on 3-5ft suspension jerkbaits, it opens your options. Pop your line up to keep the bait higher. I was going to suggest this. Allen Quote
